LANSING, MI – Rick Steves, host of the hit PBS series “Rick Steves’ Europe” and prominent marijuana policy reform advocate will be holding talks across Michigan to discuss the benefits of legalizing and regulating marijuana and how world travel has shaped his views on the issue.

Steves is considered to be America’s leading authority on European travel. On October 2 and 3, he will be making stops in Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor to discuss Proposal 1 with Michigan voters.

“If you’ve ever watched Rick’s show on PBS or reviewed his travel website, he’s probably the last guy you would think of as being an advocate for legalization and that’s what makes his talks so interesting,” said Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol spokesperson Josh Hovey. “He’s someone who can talk about this issue from a down-to-earth perspective and have an honest dialogue about the many societal costs of continuing prohibition and how legalization has worked in his home state of Washington.”

Both events are free and open to the public. The tour schedule is listed below.
